Job Summary

They are seeking an experienced Backend Engineer to join as an early engineer working closely with founders and cross-functional teams to build scalable systems and shape the future of investing. - Design build and maintain robust backend systems that power the trading platform and integrate with major U.S. brokerages
- Lead development of the pilot portal enabling seamless user interactions for data input persistence and broker integration
- Reverse-engineer undocumented APIs and implement distributed systems that scale with company growth
- Collaborate with frontend engineers product managers and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality user-centric solutions
- Drive impact in a hands-on capacity directly contributing to a rapidly growing and innovative company
Skills/Requirements
- 5-7 years of professional experience as a backend engineer ideally in a fast-paced startup environment
- Proficiency in TypeScript for backend development (open to other languages)
- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or similar cloud infrastructure
- Expertise in distributed systems API integration and cloud-hosted applications
- Proven track record of building and scaling backend systems to support rapid growth
- Previous experience as a software engineer for trading investing or fintech platforms (nice-to-have)
- Previous experience working in a hyper-growth startup (nice-to-have)
- Experience with integrations involving platforms like Robinhood Stripe Plaid or similar (nice-to-have)
- Familiarity with GraphQL GCP Google Pub/Sub PostgreSQL or similar stack (nice-to-have)
