Position Summary
The Building People LLC seeks a Back Shop Lead to manage the fabrication and machine shop supporting facility and laboratory maintenance for the AFRL Materials and Manufacturing Directorate (RX).
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily Back Shop operations including tool control equipment maintenance and technician scheduling.
- Coordinate fabrication machining and repair work across skilled trades supporting RX facility and laboratory needs.
- Maintain accountability for shop tools equipment and materials.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of experience managing a Facilities Back Shop environment in a DoD facility.
- At least 5 years of Machine Shop experience.
- Certifications & Screening Ability to obtain a favorable NACI or Tier 1 background investigation and CAC.
Preferred Qualifications
- Forklift and/or scissor lift operator certification.
