Job Summary
Job Title: AWS Platform Engineer

Role Summary
We are seeking a seasoned AWS Admin / Platform Engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure ensuring it is secure scalable highly available and cost-efficient. The ideal candidate has 10 years of experience administering and engineering AWS environments with deep expertise in automation networking security and platform reliability at enterprise scale.
Key Responsibilities
Design provision and manage AWS infrastructure (EC2 VPC S3 IAM RDS EKS/ECS Lambda) to support enterprise workloads.
Build and maintain Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/CloudFormation) for repeatable version-controlled provisioning.
Administer IAM policies roles and access controls to enforce least-privilege security across accounts.
Design and manage networking components (VPCs subnets VPNs Direct Connect security groups load balancers) for secure reliable connectivity.
Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support automated build test and deployment processes.
Monitor platform health performance and cost using tools such as CloudWatch CloudTrail and third-party observability platforms.
Drive cost Eligible to workimization initiatives through right-sizing reserved capacity planning and usage analysis.
Establish and maintain backup disaster recovery and high-availability strategies across critical systems.
Ensure infrastructure and operations comply with security regulatory and organizational governance standards.
Lead troubleshooting and root-cause analysis for platform incidents driving resolution and preventive measures.
Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with development security and architecture teams on platform strategy.
Required Skills & Technology
10 years of experience in cloud infrastructure administration/engineering with deep hands-on AWS expertise
Strong proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform and/or CloudFormation)
Expertise in AWS networking security and IAM best practices
Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker EKS/ECS/Kubernetes)
Proficiency in scripting/automation (Python Bash or similar)
Hands-on experience with configuration management using Ansible
Experience with AWS Managed Workflows for Apache Airflow (MWAA) for orchestration
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins GitLab CI CodePipeline or similar)
Strong understanding of monitoring logging and alerting tools (CloudWatch Datadog Splunk etc.)
Solid grasp of security compliance and disaster recovery practices in enterprise cloud environments
Preferred Qualifications
AWS certifications (Solutions Architect SysOps Administrator or DevOps Engineer Professional)
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments
Prior experience supporting large-scale mission-critical enterprise platforms
Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems or a related field or equivalent practical experience
Minimum years of experience: 8 years
Top 3 responsibilities you would expect the Subcon to shoulder and execute
Strong coordination and communication skills across technical and nontechnical teams.
Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence
Hands-on experience on any ETL technologies such as Snowflake or AWS.
