Job Title: AWS Architect

Position Type: Full-Time

Location: Hybrid (2 days onsite)

Days Remote: 3 days remote

Position Summary:

The AWS Architect is responsible for designing and governing the cloud infrastructure for a large-scale federal platform built on native AWS services. This role establishes the cloud architecture infrastructure standards and deployment strategy to deliver a secure scalable highly available and cost-effective platform. Working closely with engineering security and product teams the AWS Architect ensures the platform aligns with FedRAMP requirements AWS Well-Architected best practices and modern cloud-native design principles while supporting the integration of agentic AI capabilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and govern cloud infrastructure using native AWS services including AWS Lambda Step Functions EventBridge API Gateway Aurora Amazon S3 and Amazon ECS/EKS.
  • Define and maintain infrastructure-as-code standards using AWS CDK and AWS CloudFormation.
  • Design cloud infrastructure that supports FedRAMP compliance and federal security requirements.
  • Lead AWS Well-Architected Framework reviews and drive cloud cost optimization initiatives.
  • Design secure networking identity security and multi-environment deployment strategies.
  • Support the integration of Amazon Bedrock and agentic AI services into the cloud platform.
  • Guide capacity planning scalability resiliency high availability and disaster recovery planning.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to establish cloud architecture standards and best practices across the platform.

Minimum Experience:

  • 5 years of hands-on AWS architecture and cloud solution delivery experience.
  • Experience designing and implementing high-availability high-volume cloud platforms.
  • Experience designing enterprise cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code methodologies.

Degrees and Certifications

Required

  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional.

Preferred

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Systems Software Engineering or a related technical discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
