What youll be doing as a Electronics Mechanic

Performs a wide variety of duties necessary to assure the proper functioning of aircraft electrical electronic communication navigation flight instruments and instrumentation systems or packages.
Fabricates constructs installs tests adjusts maintains repairs or replaces any components panels or sections of the above systems or packages.
Lays out and installs a variety of tubing and /or tubing systems for instrumentation work.
May be assigned to install adjust and maintain control tower or other fixed base or mobile communications equipment.
Makes in flight tests as necessary.
Must obtain any additional licenses or permits required by the government to meet government regulations.

Skills you bring to this role

Radio repair and electricians hand tools flaring tools tube cutters and tubing installation tools.
Various types of power tools and hand tools necessary to perform required work.

Experience & Other Requirements:
Four (4) years of aircraft electronics (avionics) experience within the last ten (10) years.
o Such experience must have involved the troubleshooting repair and maintenance of aircraft communication navigation or fire control weapons system components.
Successful completion of an 18-to-24-month accredited curriculum in Electronics Engineering or Electronics Technology within the last 10 years or successful completion of a military Electronics/Avionics course at least 8 months in length within the last 10 years.
