Automotive Technician Mechanic | Up to 150k

Location: Bartlett IL

Compensation: Strong earning potential. Current top technicians are earning in the $130000-$150000 range.

AutoShop Recruiting is partnering with a high-performing independent repair shop in the Bartlett IL area that is looking to add a diagnostic-minded automotive technician to the team.

This shop is not looking for a parts changer. The need is for someone who can consistently figure out what is wrong with the vehicle communicate clearly with the team and help the shop keep work moving correctly.

• Diagnose drivability electrical mechanical and vehicle-performance concerns.
• Use scan tools testing processes and sound judgment to identify root causes.
• Perform quality repairs across a wide range of vehicles.
• Collaborate with advisors managers and other technicians in a team-based workflow.
• Document findings clearly so the front counter can communicate recommendations.
• Contribute to a clean professional high-accountability shop environment.

• Automotive technician diagnostic technician mechanic A-level technician or strong B-level technician experience.
• Ability to diagnose vehicles consistently not just replace parts.
• Strong work ethic ownership and team-first mentality.
• Comfortable working in a structured independent shop with shared accountability.
• Valid drivers license.
• ASE certifications are a plus but real diagnostic ability matters more than paper credentials.

• Initial base/hourly/salary ramp-in period while the shop evaluates fit and contribution.
