Automation Project Engineer

Milacron is looking for an Automation Project Engineer to join our team in Batavia this position you will be responsible for supporting the design documentation and execution of integrated automation projects while working closely with customers production engineering manufacturing teams and automation equipment suppliers to deliver successful automation Youll Do:Create automation system layouts equipment designs and End-of-Arm Tooling (EOAT) and maintain project scopes of work technical specifications and engineering technical drawings engineering details and project deliverables using CAD customer proposals technical reviews and solution development and specify robotic systems automation equipment and auxiliary components while identifying key supplier automation cell layouts safety guarding systems and EOAT project execution activities including automation design procurement installation commissioning and Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) and customer acceptance closely with Production Engineering Product Management Manufacturing and Commercial project schedules milestones documentation and technical deliverables throughout the project :Bachelors degree in Engineering Operations Manufacturing Business or related fields required. Engineering degree preferred.5 years of hands-on engineering experience supporting capital equipment or capital to create CAD layouts engineering drawings and technical project coordination and technical problem-solving to work cross-functionally with engineering manufacturing suppliers and customer-facing integrating robotics and automation systems sizing robots evaluating cycle times and capacity requirements selecting automation equipment and designing safety guarding equipment industry experience in plastics processing machine building automation integration or manufacturing environments with Fanuc ABB Yaskawa KUKA Sepro B&R Beckhoff or similar automation platforms to travel approximately 35%.Reports To: Manager Automation & Integrated Systems#LI-AP1 #LI-ONSITE
