We are seeking experienced leaders at the Manager or Director level to join the firms Healthcare Audit practice specializing in skilled nursing facility (SNF) clients.

This position offers exceptional flexibility and can be based out of offices in Northeast Ohio (Hybrid - Cleveland or Akron area) Central/Shore New Jersey (3-4 days in office) or performed fully remotely.

In this role you will play a critical part in leading complex audit engagements managing client relationships mentoring high-performing teams and driving practice growth. The firm provides strong administrative resources flexibility and firm-level support necessary to advance your career toward partner track while maintaining a sustainable work-life balance.

Responsibilities

Engagement Leadership: Lead and oversee complex healthcare audit engagements from planning through issuance ensuring compliance with GAAP and industry assurance standards.
Review & Technical Quality: Conduct high-level reviews of financial statements audit documentation and internal control evaluations for healthcare and SNF entities.
Team Development & Mentorship: Direct mentor and train staff and seniors facilitating performance reviews and fostering continuous technical development.
Practice Management: Oversee engagement budgets billing resource allocation and project timelines across multiple simultaneous engagements.
Client Relationship Management: Serve as a primary point of contact for executive-level client management offering technical insights and proactive advisory.
Business Development (Director Level): Identify growth opportunities lead proposal efforts and actively support practice expansion and business development initiatives.
Technical Expertise: Oversee technical research on emerging healthcare accounting standards GAAP updates and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance; Masters or advanced degree preferred.
Active CPA certification required for Manager/Director.
6 to 10 years of public accounting audit experience with demonstrated management experience.
Healthcare audit experience required; specialized expertise in skilled nursing facilities (SNF) is a plus.
Proven track record of team leadership engagement economics management and client relationship building.
Exceptional communication strategic thinking and executive presence.
