Here youll do more than join something youll add Vision Products Group is looking for a technically grounded people-first Software Quality Manager to help define the future of spatial audio on Apple Vision Pro leading a team responsible for ensuring that every sound every cue and every immersive moment meets the bar Apple customers expect and deserve.

The ideal candidate is a seasoned engineering manager comfortable leading a high-performing team in a dynamic and rapidly evolving this role you will manage a team of manual and automation engineers responsible for developing maintaining and executing audio quality test plans for some of Apples most advanced technologies including augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). You thrive in cross-functional environments partnering closely with software engineers architects project managers and QA teams across Apple to define what quality audio looks and sounds like on the platform.

Lead and mentor a team of manual and automation engineers fostering a culture of growth collaboration and technical excellencenOwn the audio quality test strategy for Apple Vision Pro including the development maintenance and execution of comprehensive test plans across spatial audio frameworksnPartner with hardware and software teams to identify triage and resolve audio quality issues across the full product development lifecyclenPresent test results quality metrics and risk assessments to senior leadership and key stakeholders translating technical findings into clear actionable insightsnDrive cross-functional collaboration with software engineers architects and product teams to define quality standards for cutting-edge AR/VR audio experiencesnRecruit onboard and develop engineering talent building a diverse and high-performing team capable of tackling the unique challenges of spatial audio quality

4 years of management experience leading QA/QE teamsn8 years of professional experience in Software QualitynExpertise in subjective and objective methodologies for measuring the quality of a consumer audio experiencenStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsnExcellent written and verbal communication skillsnExperience leading and developing a team in a highly cross-functional environmentnEstablished track record of building strong teams attracting hiring motivating and retaining top engineering talentnAbility to drive cross-functional communications managing dependencies while maintaining tight timelinesnDeep understanding of SQA methodologies and processesnExperience leading both manual and automated QA effortsnIn-depth knowledge and experience with consumer audio devices and experiencesnUnderstanding of audio processing fundamentals and how they apply to the customer experiencenExperience with AR/VR or spatial computing platformsnBS in Computer Science/Engineering and/or equivalent experience

Understanding and application of Python Swift and/or C/C programming skillsnFamiliarity with macOS and/or iOS platforms automation frameworks and tools development (preferably in Python)nExperience with AI-powered development and testing tools to accelerate quality workflows and test coveragenData management skills including reporting dashboards and quality metrics visualizationnExperience with wireless audio accessories such as AirPods and related Apple audio ecosystemsnFamiliarity with AR/VR or spatial computing platforms and their unique quality challengesnPassionate about user-focused design high-quality applications and iterative refinementnPersistent and inquisitive problem solver committed to driving quality forward
