Job Summary

Litigation Associate San Francisco

A California law firm is seeking a full-time Litigation Associate with 26 years of complex general litigation experience for its San Francisco office. This position offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated complex litigation matters and collaborate closely with experienced litigators and trial lawyers.

Responsibilities

  • The associate will handle matters through all phases of litigation including pleadings discovery depositions law and motion practice mediation hearings trial preparation and post-trial proceedings. Responsibilities include drafting pleadings motions briefs and discovery; conducting legal research; arguing dispositive and non-dispositive motions; participating in depositions; appearing at hearings mediations and arbitrations; and assisting with trial preparation.

Qualifications

  • Candidates must have a J.D. from an accredited law school active California State Bar membership in good standing and 26 years of complex general litigation experience. Strong legal research writing analytical oral advocacy interpersonal and communication skills are required. Candidates should have experience with dispositive motions depositions discovery motion practice mediation and trial preparation. Trial experience is preferred.

Compensation

  • Annual base salary: $160000$210000 commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Work Arrangement

  • This is a full-time position based in San Francisco. After 90 days the position is eligible for a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and no more than two days remote.
