Job Summary

Title:Athletics Business Operations Assistant

Position Purpose:

The Business Operations Assistant is responsible for financial and budget aspects of the athletic department utilizing web-based financial systems Word Excel and Banner systems including support for the business manager in this role.

Job Duties:

  • JPM PaymentNet/Visa reconciliation of credit card expenditures for the athletics department while adhering to College and departmental financial policies.
  • Procure approved team office and facility supplies and equipment through the Banner purchase order system.
  • Process and handle all payment requests for athletic services including processing travel and meal invoices subscriptions entry fees etc.
  • Compile pay data and process payments for sports officials via RefQuest and Arbiter online platforms.
  • Prepare summary sheets and record deposit receipts on the Revenue Tracker.
  • Track and update budget revenues and expenses.
  • Complete and submit hotel credit card authorizations for team accommodations.
  • Track and update tax exemption certificates as needed.
  • Support in compiling EADA NCAA demographics census and other yearly reports and surveys.
  • Greet prospective students and their parents when needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education

Bachelors degree or relevant work experience preferred.

Experience

1-2 years of experience in accounting or a related field preferred.

  • Ability to follow department processes and workflows as needed.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional organizational skills through the use of excel worksheets and other data tracking platforms.

Hiring Range:The hiring range for this position is $17.85 to $22.31. Placement within the range depends on experience and other factors.
