The University of Florida Department of Medicine Division of Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition part of UF Health the Southeasts most comprehensive academic health center invites applicants for a full-time Tenure/Non-Tenure track AST/ASO/Full Professor position in Advanced Endoscopy including Therapeutic and
Interventional Endoscopy techniques. Rank and tenure status will be commensurate with qualifications.

The ideal applicant will be boardcertified or board eligible inGastroenterology. Clinical dutieswould include weekly outpatientclinics endoscopy and staffing of theGI inpatient and consult services atUF Health Shands Hospitals. UFGastroenterology is a regional referralcenter for Advanced Endoscopy witha state-of-the-art Endoscopy Suite aleading Interventional andTherapeutic Endoscopy program anda burgeoning Bariatric Endoscopyprogram. Multiple collaborativeresearch and clinical trialsopportunities exist in the areas of
Pancreatic Diseases GI malignancyexperimental and animal endoscopynew technology development obesity
and gut microbiome; including activecollaborative research involvingPancreatitis Diabetes andParkinsons Disease. The Division isthe recipient of the U01 - Consortiumfor the Study of Chronic Pancreatitis Diabetes and Pancreatic CancerClinical Centers; the U01 Type 1Diabetes in Acute PancreatitisConsortium Clinical Centers; and theR01 Role of Bacteria in Colitis-Associated Colon Cancer all from theNIH. The program trains 14 fellowsper year and education of residentsand medical students is alsoexpected. Academic appointment iscommensurate with experience.

Joint faculty appointment at theMalcom Randall VA Medical Center ispossible for the interested candidate.
