Associate Test Engineer

General Description: The Associate Test Engineer position is responsible for supporting RF OTA and EMC testing at a multi-client electromagnetic laboratory executing tests troubleshooting client issues and providing technical support. The role requires electromagnetic testing knowledge project management skills and strong client communication.

- Starting compensation is based on experience.

Primary Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Develop and execute complex RF Antenna OTA and EMC measurements and tests to client statements of work and aerospace/defense standards.  
• Develop automation scripts (Python MATLAB) to optimize test time and streamline data collection. 
• Provide active engineering support to clients to assist in troubleshooting failures and analyze data to produce compliance-ready test reports and certificates. 
• Interface regularly with the larger test engineering organization in Torrance CA to further refine test methodology and measurement techniques. 
• Support the calibration and preventative maintenance schedules for all laboratory assets. 

Qualifications :

• 1-3 years of experience (with B.S.) or 0-1 years of experience (with M.S.) in Test Engineering. 
• Familiar with electrical test and measurement equipment such as: Multimeters Oscilloscopes Function Generators Power Supplies. 
• Theoretical understanding of RF Antenna OTA and EMC test and measurement principles. 
• Understanding of aerospace and defense testing standards including MIL-STD-461 and DO-160. 
• Experience developing automated test stands for various types of hardware. 
• Strong written and oral communication skills. 
• Organized; comfortable working in a fast-paced ever-changing environment. 
• US Citizen or Permanent Resident (future security clearance may be required). 
• Education Requirements: B.S. or M.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.

Additional Information :

Compensation

The expected salary for this position is $90000 to 100000 per year. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills experience and qualifications.
