This position sits within our Product Development division which develops tests and improves our software solutions in an innovative and collaborative environment.
The Opportunity
An AssociateSoftware DevelopmentEngineer(Test)atConstructConnectis a developer with the primary responsibility ofensuringsoftware quality.This ispredominantlydonethroughdeveloping test strategiescreating / updating test automation codeexecuting tests(both automated and manual)andanalyzing/ troubleshootingdefects.It isa uniqueand challenging rolethatcombines the building aspect of softwaredevelopmentwith the breaking aspect of software testing.Whiletheyare responsible forall quality activitieswithin their team the focus ison collaboration andwriting code that automatically verifiesapplicationchanges.
AssociateSDETs are expected to have competency both in software development andare learning modernsoftware testing practices.Theycollaborate with product development teamsto ensure the delivery of high quality high value product features.Theyseektounderstandhow ourcustomersuseour products andapplications andthetechnical implementation ofthem.Theyensure our sites products and platforms perform to industry-beating quality levels bydesigning developing andmaintainingautomated solutionsusing Python /Pytestthat support thedevelopment testing anddeployment of our software solutions.AssociateSDETsareexpected totake responsibility for workandfollow through oncommitments butare supported by theirteam and more senior SDETs.Asking for help isexpected anda positive attributeofour teams!
What Youll Be Doing
- Gainproduct and applicationexpertisethrough product documentation internal collaboration and customerfeedback
- Develop teststrategies / plans/ scenarios and acceptance testsandleverage AI-assisted tools and technologies
- Design build and executetest casesincluding manual andautomatedfrontend/backendtestsonone or moreapplication platforms such as Desktop and Web
- Createandmaintainautomated tests in Python /Pytest
- Analyzetroubleshoot and reporttest results
- Integratetest automationintoCI/CD pipelines
- Activelyparticipatein design and codereviewsto design and implement stabletestablehigh-quality services and functionality.
- Operate within an Agile framework adapting to iterative development cycles and contributing toscrum ceremonies
- Pursue continuous learning and professional development to stay abreast of industry standards andnew technologies

What You Bring to the Team
- BS degree in Computer Sciences programming or a related discipline or demonstrable equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Programming Principles Data Structures and Algorithms
- The ability to keep current with the constantly changing technology industry.
- Excellentanalytical andproblem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal interpersonal and written communication skills
- Python development experiencepreferred
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- The physical activities of this position include frequent sitting telephone communication workingon a computer for extended periods of time. Visual acuity isto perform activities close to the eyes.
- Team members are expected tomaintaina dedicated and ergonomicallyappropriate remoteworkspace.
- Team members who live within commuting distance of our office location (Atlanta Georgia) are expected to work in a hybrid capacity with regular in-office presence every Tuesday and Wednesday each week.
