Associate Project Manager

Jack Laurie Group is seeking a motivated competitive and driven individual to join our team as an Associate Project Manager.

This role is designed for someone who wants to build a long-term career in commercial construction project management. You will work directly alongside an experienced Project Manager while gaining hands-on experience in estimating bidding project execution customer management scheduling budgeting and coordination across multiple trades.

During your first 612 months you will follow a structured development path designed to prepare you to take ownership of your own projects and customer relationships.

Our goal is simple: develop the next generation of Project Managers who can successfully manage their own projects customers and book of business.

• Work alongside an experienced Project Manager and learn all aspects of commercial construction project management.
  

• Assist with bidding estimating takeoffs and proposal preparation.
  

• Build relationships with customers architects general contractors subcontractors and internal teams.
  

• Participate in project meetings and jobsite visits.
  

• Coordinate project schedules and communicate with multiple trades.
  

• Assist with project documentation costs change orders and customer communications.
  

• Help develop solutions to project challenges while keeping projects on schedule and within budget.
  

• Learn the financial side of project management including job costing profitability forecasting and project performance.
  

• Develop the skills and experience necessary to independently manage projects and customer relationships.

• Degree in Construction Management Project Management Engineering Business or a related field.
  

• Experience in commercial construction estimating project coordination field supervision or operations.
  

• Ability to read blueprints and construction documents.

• Military leadership experience is a plus.

Base Salary: $55000$65000 per year

Starting compensation will be based on overall experience construction knowledge and industry exposure.

The Associate Project Manager position is designed as a development role not a permanent assistant position.

Successful candidates will spend approximately 612 months working alongside an experienced Project Manager developing the technical financial customer-facing and leadership skills needed to manage projects independently.

As you demonstrate your ability to successfully manage projects customers budgets schedules and relationships the goal is to transition you into a Project Manager position with responsibility for your own projects customers and book of business.
