Job Summary
Overview
Our Client is seeking a Associate Product Owner. This role focuses on enhancing mobile experiences leveraging modern technologies and delivering features that improve customer engagement while supporting broader product objectives.
The Associate Product Owner will work closely with teams across IT UX Analytics and business functions to define prioritize and deliver mobile capabilities. The position requires a blend of product ownership analytical thinking and technical communication to drive customer-focused outcomes.
Core Responsibilities
Collaborate with IT UX Analytics and business stakeholders to understand customer behavior and develop mobile experiences aligned with product objectives.
Support the vision and strategy for mobile platforms ensuring features and tools contribute to a cohesive mobile customer experience.
Conduct competitive benchmarking research emerging technologies identify product gaps and recommend enhancements to improve customer experiences.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including backlog grooming iteration planning stand-ups and other product management activities.
Translate business objectives into technical requirements through clearly defined user stories and backlog management.
Prioritize and manage the mobile platform backlog to focus development efforts on high-impact initiatives and measurable outcomes.
Partner with third-party software vendors to support the development and enhancement of mobile tools and capabilities.
Operate within a DevOps environment helping troubleshoot technical issues prioritize defect resolution and support incremental product improvements.
Work closely with technical leads and architects to develop solutions that deliver customer value while reducing operational costs.
Conduct demonstrations of new software and communicate outcomes updates and learnings to stakeholders and team members.
Partner with business units to create and validate user stories ensuring both technical and business requirements are satisfied.
Monitor product performance metrics and continuously iterate to improve customer outcomes and product effectiveness.
Essential Qualifications Skills and Technologies
Bachelors degree in Computer Science a related field or equivalent experience/training.
Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience preferably in e-commerce environments.
Product ownership experience with the ability to manage backlogs define user stories and support Agile delivery teams.
Analytical background with the ability to evaluate customer behavior measure outcomes and drive data-informed decisions.
Ability to communicate effectively using technical language across business and technology stakeholders.
Understanding of mobile application technology frameworks and the differences between Android and iOS platforms.
Understanding of how enterprise systems interact including platforms such as Sabre ITA eTDS and related technologies.
Knowledge of Agile methodologies and product management practices.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask prioritize work and operate effectively with minimal direction.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills including transparency expectation setting and stakeholder reporting.
High level of intellectual curiosity and comfort working in ambiguous environments.
Ability to build trust and foster collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Preferred Skills or Experience
Masters degree in a related field.
Experience selecting and implementing third-party software development kits (SDKs) to enhance mobile applications and tools.
Experience using Agile and other software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies to develop and deliver software.
Experience working within a product operating model focused on outcomes and continuous customer experience improvement.
Mobile application and travel or airline industry experience.
Understanding of emerging mobile technologies and their application to customer engagement strategies.
Demonstrated success delivering products that generate measurable business value.

Hybrid work schedule with onsite attendance Tuesday through Thursday and remote work on Monday and Friday.
