Associate Placement Specialist, Life Sciences

Marshis seeking candidates to join our Life Sciences Placement team focused on product liability clinical trials and E&O coverage based in our New York Philadelphia or Chicago office locations. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

What can you expect:

• Work in conjunction with Marshs senior team members to develop and execute renewal strategy select insurers to approach negotiate broad coverage terms produce and present program recommendations and complete documentation of all placement activities.

• Foster relationships within your team colleagues clients carriers to provide cohesive client service.

We will count on you to:

• Consult management on complex client issues or trends through clear and concise communication and participate in development of solutions

• Ensure client renewal transactions are compliant with professional standards.

• Assist in special projects within team.

• Consult with client executives and client teams to support client retention and new business production such as active participation in RFPs and coverage reviews

• Coverage expertise to be able to negotiate and drive optimal terms on behalf of our clients

• Thorough review of all quotes binders and policies to ensure accuracy of coverage placed

• Work towards:

  • A solid knowledge of market risk issues insurance brokerage account management servicing and sales skills

  • A detailed understanding of changing insurance and risk management market conditions

What you need to have:

• College degree

• 2-5 years of insurance industry or relevant experience

• P&C licensed OR ability to obtain within 3 months of employment

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word Excel Power Point Outlook) and the ability to learn proprietaryapplications/databases

All Marsh colleagues are expected to be in their local office or working onsite with clients at least three days per week. Office-based teams will identify at least one anchor day per week on which their full team will be together in person.

The applicable base salary range for this role is $72500 to $154300.

The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience skills training location certifications education and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case addition to the base salary this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
