City University of Seattles School of Business and Management is seeking experienced business leaders to join our Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) program as Associate Faculty. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with a doctoral degree who have built their expertise through industry leadership consulting entrepreneurship or other applied professional experience.

What Youll Do

  • Facilitate engaging practice-based lectures that connect scholarly theory to real-world business applications.
  • Mentor and advise doctoral candidates as they develop their scholarly voice and research capabilities.
  • Guide students in the design conduct and communication of applied business research.
  • Provide timely constructive feedback that advances both academic rigor and professional growth.
  • Foster a collaborative inclusive online learning environment that supports student success.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of curriculum assessment and student experience.

Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below represent the knowledge skills and abilities required.   • Earned doctorate (PhD DBA or equivalent) in business management or a closely related discipline from a regionally accredited institution or international equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant professional experience; 20 or more years preferred.
  • Understanding of the practitioner-faculty model with a genuine passion for teaching and a commitment to maintaining current knowledge in ones field.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including a working knowledge of APA 7th edition style.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills with the ability to relate to and communicate effectively with diverse students faculty and staff.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and learning management systems.

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience guiding students through applied research dissertations.
  • An established record of publication and presentation supported by a currently active research agenda.
  • Substantive executive consulting or senior leadership experience that enriches applied research mentorship.

Salary Information:

Part-time Associate Faculty salary is based on the number of course credits (1-6) and the number of students in the class. The pay range is $600-$6000 per course.
