About the Role:
A growing boutique law firm focused on landlord-tenant and rental housing law is seeking an Associate Attorney with 0 2 years of experience to join its collaborative team in Austin Texas.
This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career attorney looking to gain substantial courtroom exposure hands-on case management experience and direct mentorship from experienced practitioners. The successful candidate will take ownership of matters from pre-litigation through trial while developing expertise across a broad range of landlord-tenant and civil litigation matters.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage assigned cases from intake through final resolution.
- Represent clients in landlord-tenant disputes including eviction proceedings.
- Handle contract disputes fair housing complaints code enforcement matters and civil litigation defense.
- Draft pleadings motions correspondence and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and case analysis.
- Appear in court hearings and trial proceedings.
- Communicate effectively with clients opposing counsel and court personnel.
- Work closely with senior attorneys while developing increasing levels of independence and responsibility.
Requirements:
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
- 0 2 years of legal experience preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple matters and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
