Johnson Controls is seeking an Oracle DBA to monitor manage administer and optimize Oracle this role you will ensure high availability security and performance of Oracle database systems and applications. As part of the team you will be responsible for managing the infrastructure supporting Oracle databases and applications handling database migrations patches and upgrades and ensuring system reliability and uptime.
How you will do it
- Monitor administer and support Oracle Databases (11g 12c 19c) ensuring optimal performance availability and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues application errors and connectivity problems.
Manage Oracle 12c/19c multi-tenant databases (PDB/ CDB) and container databases.
Ensure Oracle database and applications comply with security best practices including user management encryption and audit trails.
Work closely with development teams to optimize application performance and integrate Oracle-based solutions.
Monitor and manage database and application performance using Oracle Enterprise Manager and other monitoring tools.
Provide support during major incidents including on-call rotation troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
Implement Oracle database monitoring using AI tools
What you will need
Required
- 2 years of experience as an Production Oracle DBA.
Bachelors degree.
Experience with Oracle Database (11g 12c 19c) administration including installation configuration patching upgrades backup/recovery and performance tuning.
US citizenship. We are not able to sponsor for this position.
Preferred
- Oracle Certified Professional (OCP) or higher certification.
Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms for database and application hosting.- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines in Oracle environments.
