Bourgade Catholic High School is seeking a Track & Field Assistant Coach who will be responsible for coaching developing and mentoring student-athletes in various track and field events. The coach will assist in designing and implementing training programs that emphasize proper technique strength development safety sportsmanship academic success and competitive excellence while supporting the overall goals of the Bourgade Catholic Track & Field program.

• Assist in developing and implementing effective training programs to enhance athlete performance and team success.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes emphasizing sportsmanship discipline teamwork and personal growth.
• Supervises student-athletes and facilities with a clear articulated focus on safety and security
• Organize and supervise team practices conditioning programs and track & field events.
• Teach proper technique and fundamentals for assigned track and field events.
• Promote academic achievement and encourage student-athletes to maintain eligibility requirements.
• Support athletes in setting and achieving individual and team goals.
• Help create a positive supportive and inclusive team environment.
• Represent Bourgade Catholic High School with professionalism at practices competitions and community events.
• Upholds the doctrinal teachings of the Catholic Church
• Ensure compliance with Arizona Interscholastic Association (AIA) rules and Bourgade Catholic High School policies.

• Strong knowledge of track & field fundamentals rules and event techniques.
• Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster a positive and inclusive team environment.
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Must pass a background check as required by the school.

• Prior coaching experience at the high school club or collegiate level.
• Previous experience as an assistant coach.
• Knowledge of strength and conditioning principles.
• Experience working with and developing student-athletes.
• Experience coaching multiple track & field events is a plus.
