The primary duty of the Assistant Program Director is to lead and manage daily operations within the Utility Services department. This position ensures compliance with Program Policies Procedures and DHS regulations while supporting clients employment goals through skill assessment job matching and ongoing job addition this position works closely with other departments to assist clients wanting to transition into offsite work options.
Program Responsibilities:
Supervise daily operations within Utility Services.
Including but not limited to: daily scheduling of staff and clients training completing Pavillio approvals working with clients on their work goals employee relations problem solving etc.
Design program activities for clients to enhance on-site and off-site work skills social interaction communication wellness and life enrichment.
Coordinate with client teams to develop and implement individualized plans that support clients goals preferences and needs.
Ensure departmental compliance with Program Policies Procedures and DHS Regulations.
Assess client performance on contract work evaluating completion accuracy and timeliness.
Collaborate with the Production Division to ensure contract tasks are fulfilled accurately and on schedule.
Record and approve client attendance in the Pavillio database.
Guarantee that client services meet all applicable licensing and regulatory standards.
Oversee the completion of incident and emergency reports manage corrective actions and conduct internal maltreatment reviews when necessary.
Management Responsibilities:
Provide leadership direction and support to employees consistent with the companys management core competencies.
Train evaluate and discipline employees according to company policies and procedures.
Coordinate with other divisions of the company to ensure mutual goals and initiatives are accomplished.
Manage departmental budget and record expenditures to the accounting department.
Be available for staff communication in person via email radio and over the phone.
Qualifications:
Must meet the qualifications for a Qualified Developmental Disability Professional (QDDP) or Designated Coordinator as outlined in federal and/or state regulations which include:
A bachelors degree in a human services-related field along with one year of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
An associate degree in a human services-related field plus two years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
A diploma from an accredited post-secondary institution in a human services-related field and three years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older;
Four years of full-time experience providing direct care to individuals with disabilities or those aged 65 or older supervised by a qualified professional meeting the above criteria.
Management experience is preferred.
Ability to use electronic devices including databases and internet-based applications.
Demonstrate ability to productively collaborate with clients co-workers and others associated with the company.
Excellent writing skills.
Commitment to working with clients to reach their onsite or offsite work goals.
Have a valid class D drivers license.
Personal vehicle insurance that meets the companys requirements.
Ability to drive all company vehicles and follow the safe transportation policy.
