Assistant Professor- Pediatric Endocrinology

Yale University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics is recruiting a pediatric endocrinologist with expertise in evaluation and treatment of pediatric obesity. This individual would have a unique opportunity to serve as Medical Director for Bright Bodies the internationally recognized intensive health behavior and lifestyle treatment (IHBLT) that this capacity they would build on existing infrastructure with an opportunity to grow the addition the successful candidate will join our internationally renowned section of 17 pediatric endocrinologists and 8 advanced practice providers providing clinical care in our New Haven and Trumbull offices. Our section includes physician-scientists with cutting edge programs across a spectrum of areas including clinical care and clinical translational and basic research in endocrinology diabetes obesity metabolism thyroid disorders and bone disease. The candidate will devote most of their efforts to our clinical mission with a focus on obesity care and will be instrumental in the expansion of our endocrinology services throughout the Yale-New Haven Health system. The applicant will also have opportunities to participate in collaborative and independent research this role applicants must demonstrate a track-record of providing outstanding clinical care in inpatient and outpatient settings as well as expertise for teaching and supervising medical students residents and endocrinology fellows.

Board eligible/certification in Pediatric Endocrinology is required. Board certification in Obesity Medicine is favorable.
