JOB DESCRIPTION
The Assistant IP Practice Manager supports the operational management of a dynamic multi-office Intellectual Property practice. This role partners closely with practice leadership to execute strategic initiatives improve workflows and enhance service delivery. The position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to process improvement training and technology advancement within a fast-paced legal environment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Support execution of practice-wide priorities including process improvements and operational initiatives
Assist in the implementation of training programs and onboarding processes
Coordinate technology initiatives in partnership with practice leadership and IT
Maintain and organize centralized resources including templates playbooks and best practices
Track and monitor key operational metrics and support reporting efforts
Facilitate communication and coordination across offices and stakeholder groups
Assist with workflow management scheduling and administrative coordination of practice activities
Support consistency in operational processes and service delivery standards firmwide
SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL
Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable plans and execution
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work across all levels of the organization
High attention to detail and ability to manage complex operational workflows
Analytical mindset with ability to interpret metrics and support data-driven decision-making
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office and operational tools
Ability to adapt in a fast-paced evolving environment and support change management initiatives
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
Bachelors degree required
5 years of experience in operations project management or legal practice management (IP experience preferred)
Experience supporting process improvement workflow optimization or technology implementation initiatives preferred
