Sun N Lake Golf Club located in Sebring FL is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a full-time Assistant Golf Course Superintendent! We are seeking a motivated individual who is interested in contributing to a positive experience for our members and guests while continuing to grow their knowledge of golf club operations. As an associate of Troon you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.
- Supervises and trains the foreman irrigation technician and other employees in the maintenance department.
- Prepares weekly schedules for the foreman irrigation staff and other employees in the maintenance department.
- Monitors inventory and use of all maintenance equipment preventive maintenance schedules and safety training.
- Works closely with the Superintendent in managing the annual budget and maintenance recordkeeping.
- Works closely with the Superintendent in preparing short-term and long-term agronomic strategies for golf course maintenance including daily weekly monthly and yearly fertilization and irrigation schedules.
- Calibrates and operates pesticide sprayers.
- Institutes and implements all Troon Human Resources guidelines.
- Assists the Superintendent in informing members about present and future maintenance activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor or manager.
- Must be flexible with schedule.
- Minimum five years of experience required.
- GCSAA membership required.
- State pesticide license required.
