Assistant Football Equipment Manager

Responsibilities: As Assistant Football Equipment Manager you are directly responsible to the Principal Director of Athletics and head football coach and equipment manager. The assistant equipment manager must realize that any activity sponsored by EHS Athletics is part of the total program offered by EHS. Individuals working such activities must utilize sound educational principles and goals if athletics are to be a worthwhile part of the overall school program. Some of the duties of the equipment manager shall include:

DUTIES:

  • Keeping track of all equipment tools and supplies
  • Being present at all practices and games.
  • Managing the distribution of equipment to appropriate personnel or departments as needed.
  • Ensuring that all equipment meets safety standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Ensuring that equipment is properly maintained and arranging for repairs when necessary.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of equipment and uniforms as needed.
  • Providing training on equipment usage and offering support to users as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS

  1. Previous equipment managerial experience is desirable.
  2. Previous experience in either high school college or both is desirable.
  3. Knowledge of football and their rules and MIAA regulations governing the sport.
  4. Evidence of ability to get along with pupils parents colleagues and other citizens.

Remuneration:

Per the Unit A Collective Bargaining Contract this position will receive a stipend of $1996.67. It will be paid in 3 installments: October December and January.
