Pratt Miller is actively hiring an Assistant Facility Security Officer (Assistant FSO).

This is an on-site position supporting the Facility Security Officer (FSO) and Operations Security team in the administration and implementation of Pratt Millers industrial security program. The Assistant FSO will work closely with security personnel Human Resources program management and employees to help ensure compliance with company security policies National Industrial Security Program (NISP) requirements and applicable government regulations.

The ideal candidate is highly organized detail-oriented professional and comfortable handling sensitive and security-related information in a fast-paced environment.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & SKILLS

Typical responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Industrial Security Administration

  • Assist the FSO with the day-to-day administration of the companys industrial security program.
  • Support the implementation and enforcement of security policies procedures and practices.
  • Assist with maintaining personnel security records and documentation.
  • Support the processing and tracking of personnel security clearances and related requirements.
  • Assist with security briefings debriefings training and required documentation.
  • Maintain accurate security records and ensure required documentation is completed and filed appropriately.
  • Assist with tracking security training requirements and completion.
  • Support the preparation for security reviews inspections audits and assessments.
  • Assist with maintaining security-related databases spreadsheets logs and tracking systems.
  • Assist with the review and implementation of changes to applicable security policies and requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of personnel security and government-related information.

Personnel Security

  • Assist the FSO with security clearance processing and personnel security actions.
  • Track employee security status clearance requirements and required security actions.
  • Assist with processing incoming and outgoing personnel security documentation.
  • Support security indoctrination and debriefing activities.
  • Assist employees with questions regarding security requirements and procedures.
  • Coordinate with Human Resources and other internal departments regarding personnel security matters.

Facility & Physical Security

  • Assist with facility access-control requirements and security procedures.
  • Support visitor control and facility security processes.
  • Assist with maintaining security-related equipment records and documentation.
  • Support personnel accountability and emergency security procedures.
  • Assist with investigations security incidents and reporting as directed by the FSO.
  • Help ensure security procedures are consistently followed throughout the facility.

Information & Operational Security

  • Assist with the protection of classified and controlled information in accordance with applicable requirements.
  • Support employees in understanding and following security procedures for classified and sensitive information.
  • Assist with identifying and reporting potential security concerns or violations to the FSO.
  • Support OPSEC and other company security awareness initiatives.
  • Assist with security-related training and awareness activities.

Security Reception & Administrative Support

  • Support visitor management and access-control procedures.
  • Greet and assist employees contractors and visitors while maintaining established security protocols.
  • Assist with maintaining security reception areas and related administrative supplies.
  • Provide administrative support to the FSO and Operations Security team as directed.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION / YEARS OF EXPERIENCE

  • Graduate of an accredited high school or equivalent required.
  • Associate or undergraduate degree in security criminal justice criminology business administration or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience in industrial security personnel security physical security military security law enforcement or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience working in a cleared defense or government contracting environment is desirable.
  • Knowledge of the National Industrial Security Program and applicable Department of Defense security requirements is preferred.

  • Ability to work independently while supporting the direction of the FSO.
  • Familiarity with security databases and personnel security systems is a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to carry and move small packages or equipment weighing up to 20 lbs.
  • Ability to work in an office and manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to move throughout the facility as required to perform security responsibilities.

EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

  • Full-time work schedule is generally varied of9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday through Friday.
  • Additional hours may be required to support business security or program requirements.
  • Must be flexible with schedule to accommodate security requirements inspections meetings and fixed deadlines.

  • This position requires having eligibility and maintaining aU.S. Government classified security clearance as required by the position and applicable
  • Must demonstrate professionalism integrity reliability and sound judgment

Pay Range:

$64500.00 - $103500.00

The above pay range reflects the minimum and maximum target pay for the position across all U.S. locations. Within this range individual pay is determined by various factors including the scope and responsibilities of the role the candidates experience education and skills as well as the equity of pay among team members in similar positions.
