Job Description:

The Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager Newburgh Campus will be responsible for the daily operations of the Maintenance Department in Newburgh including (but not limited to) supervising staff and overseeing contracted services. The Assistant Facilities Maintenance Manager will work closely with the Executive Director of the Newburgh Campus to ensure campus facilities and operations run smoothly and efficiently.

This position is classified as essential and may be required to work during Winter and Spring break as well as during weather related emergencies.

Requirements:

Education & Experience Required:Bachelors degree and 1 year of Facilities management experience; OR an Associates degree and 3 years of Facilities management experience; OR 5 years of Facilities management with building operating systems. Three or more years supervisory experience. Computer literate. Valid NYS Drivers License. Familiarity with OSHA and safety issues.

Preferred Knowledge Skills Abilities and Worker Characteristics:

  • Bachelors degree.
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to effectively establish and maintain working relationships with supervising personnel co-workers all College employees and the public.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks.
  • Bilingual skills.
