Location

This is a full-time on-site opportunity based in Sandersville Georgia where youll work closely with leadership and operations to drive financial success.

Candidates must have a Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance 6 years of progressive accounting experience and the ability to work on-site in Sandersville GA. Construction industrial services or project-based accounting experience is strongly preferred.

Job Description

• Lead the day-to-day accounting operations including general ledger accounts payable accounts receivable payroll coordination fixed assets and cash management.
• Oversee the monthly close process including journal entries reconciliations and financial statement preparation.
• Prepare and maintain Work-in-Process (WIP) schedules and perform cost-to-complete and profitability analysis.
• Ensure accurate revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606 using percentage-of-completion accounting.
• Partner with project managers and operations leaders to analyze job performance budgets and margin trends.
• Manage customer billing progress billings retainage tracking and AIA billing where applicable.
• Oversee vendor payment processes and maintain strong AP controls.
• Monitor accounts receivable aging and support collections and cash flow forecasting.
• Maintain strong internal controls accounting policies and financial reporting procedures.
• Support audits tax filings bonding requests lender reporting and post-acquisition integration initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and operational efficiencies.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 6 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong job cost accounting and WIP reporting experience.
• Experience with percentage-of-completion revenue recognition (ASC 606).
• ERP system experience required.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong analytical organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
• CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
• Construction industrial electrical or project-based accounting experience preferred.
