A growing privately held construction company is looking for an experienced Assistant Controller to join its accounting leadership team. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment enjoys building processes and is looking for potential growth opportunities.

Working closely with the CFO youll play a key role in the day-to-day accounting operations support a major ERP transition strengthen financial controls and help drive the companys continued growth.

What Youll Do

• Manage full-cycle construction accounting including accounts payable accounts receivable job costing purchasing financial reporting and month-end/year-end close.
• Maintain job cost integrity cost coding accuracy and financial data within Vista by Viewpoint while supporting the companys ERP transition from Sage Intacct.
• Review and process purchase orders while ensuring efficient AP/AR workflows.
• Partner with the CFO on treasury management banking relationships cash flow and other financial initiatives.
• Utilize Vista by Viewpoint and advanced Excel to manage project financials reporting and operational efficiency.
• Collaborate cross-functionally while serving as the accounting subject matter expert and helping develop scalable accounting processes.

What Were Looking For

• 3 years of construction accounting experience with strong full-cycle accounting expertise.
• 2 years of leadership or people management experience.
• Bachelors degree preferred not required
• Experience with Vista by Viewpoint strongly preferred (other construction ERP systems will also be considered).
• Strong knowledge of job costing cost coding financial reporting and construction accounting best practices.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• A self-starter who can work independently communicate effectively and thrive in a fast-paced high-accountability environment.
