Assistant Basketball Coach

Holy Names Academy is an all-girls Catholic high school founded in 1880 by the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. The school offers excellent academic arts athletic spiritual and leadership programs that promote the developmentof the whole person in an environment of inclusion collaboration and community. Holy Names Academy is located in the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Seattle. HNA sports teams practice at various sites around the city.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrated knowledge and ability to teach basketball specific skills techniques and appropriate conditioning and training programs.
• Supervision and instruction of basketballathletes during all team activities.
• Effective communication with student athletes and their families.
• Ability to work collaboratively with coaches in the HNA basketball program.
• Take direction from the Program Head and Athletic Director as needed.
• Seekcontinuing education opportunities and professional development opportunitiesin your sport (clinics attending college practices working camps etc.).
• Maintain compliance with all Holy Names Academy Metro League and Washington Interscholastic Activities Association (WIAA) rules and regulations.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Prior coaching experience at the high school youth or club level preferred
• 25years of age or older.
• Possess a valid Washington State Drivers License.
• Available forpractices Monday - Friday 4:30pm - 6:00pm and scheduled games (dates and times vary).
• Current First Aid and CPR andcertifications or willingness to obtain certification prior to the start of the season.
• Must be willing and able to drive a 14-passenger minibus (training provided).
• Successful completion of a criminal background check fingerprintsand Safe Environment training prior to start of season.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Salary Range: $3800 - 4300 paid over the season. Salary is based on skills and experience.
