Justice Resource Institute (JRI) a leader in social justice with over 100 programs meeting the needs of underserved individuals and families throughout Massachusetts Rhode Island and Connecticut has a rare opportunity for an Assistant Accounts Payable Manager.
The Assistant Accounts Payable Manager will support the Accounts Payable Manager in overseeing daily AP operations ensuring compliance with organizational policies and procedures and maintaining effective internal controls. This role assists with the supervision training and development of Accounts Payable staff while helping to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices payments and vendor transactions. The Assistant Manager plays a key role in the administration and continuous improvement of AP-related systems and purchasing platforms.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $75000 to $80000per year. The listed range reflects what we reasonably and in good faith expect to pay for this role at the time of posting the position. The actual compensation an employee is offered may vary based on several factors such as experience education licensure certifications and qualifications. This range may be modified in the future.
In this role you will:
- Assist the Accounts Payable Manager in directing and overseeing the daily operations of the Accounts Payable department including invoice processing payment scheduling vendor accounts month-end and year-end activities and issue resolution.
- Provide guidance training and support to AP staff and agency programs.
- Ensure adherence to established policies and procedures while assisting with workload management and performance oversight.
System and Platform Administration
- Serve as a primary administrator for AP-related systems and purchasing platforms including Sage Centresuite Amazon Business corporate credit card programs petty cash cards PEX prepaid cards WEX fuel accounts Paymode-X and other payment solutions.
- Manage cardholder accounts spending limits approval workflows vendor enrollment purchasing controls user access and system reporting.
- Monitor activity for compliance conduct internal reviews and audits troubleshoot issues coordinate with vendors and departments and support training testing upgrades reconciliations and continuous process improvements.

Requirements:รข
- Associate or bachelors degree in accounting or related field preferred.
- 5 years of accounts payable experience; supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with Excel financial systems payment platforms credit card programs purchasing tools AP processes and internal controls.
- Strong organizational communication problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
- Background checks and driving record assessments will be conducted.
