Join the power movement as an Assembly Test Implementation Engineer

This position is overall responsible for the preparation execution and closure phases of all related SPARC Assembly test activities.

What youll do:
  • Transferrable knowledge / skillset to become adept / proficient in all defined specialized test methods from both an engineering and equipment operation perspective specialized testing includes complexity or hazard introduction for design verification purposes (low voltage high voltage high stored energy etc.)
  • Support planning functions by scouting field assets for test instruction or procedure planning
  • Review and approve test procedures / instructions to ensure understanding of scope and identify & mitigate potential risks within both the engineering and technician teams
  • Collaborate with the technician team to execute a pre-test walkdown of unit or device under test sensor adjacent components subsystems systems or infrastructure to assess correct scope and hazard recognition when warranted
  • Collaborate with the technician team to execute custom builds of test equipment / features & mock-up testing for training / derisking purposes (pre-functional testing)
  • Develop software proficiency with SPARC Assembly workflow management for all test activities
  • Provide engineering direction when preparatory or execution impedances are encountered via simple or complex troubleshooting - decide between procedural intent and non-intent changes in the field
  • Adhere to the highest standards of safety and ensure that activities taking place are being performed in strict accordance with CFS safety policies and applicable regulatory safety standards
  • Ensure that activities being performed in the field are conducted in accordance with CFS Standards standards published by regulatory bodies (NFPA ASME ASTM NET OSHA NIOSH etc.) and Industry Best Practices
  • Reinforce test performance standards - pre-job briefs procedural place keeping procedural use and adherence conservative bias diligent monitoring of critical parameters correct data capture attention to detail etc.
  • Validate preliminary test outcomes - PASS FAIL UNCERTAIN with clear and succinct rationale / communication to integrated stakeholders
  • Collaborate with technician team to ensure full demobilization in the field / proper stowage of all inventory items.
  • Formal Test Engineering approval for all required test reports - signature authority
  • Debrief the test engineering team on performance / procedure feedback to leverage lessons learned prevent error recurrence and optimize flow for ease of technician execution when deemed prudent
  • Occasional accommodation of off-normal work hours to support critical test activities
What were looking for:
  • BS in Engineering or related field
  • 5 Years of equivalent engineering experience
  • Previous testing experience with hazardsPrevious electrical testing experience (high voltage)
  • High proficiency MS Office Bluebeam or Acrobat and 3D modeling programs
Bonus points for:
  • OSHA 10
  • NFPA 70E
Must-have Requirements:
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Perform activities such as typing standing stooping climbing or sitting for extended periods of time
  • Required onsite 5 days/week when assembly operations with relevant tools are underway with possible alternating first or second shift assignment
  • Work in a facility that contains industrial hazards including heat cold noise fumes strong magnets lead (Pb) high voltage high current pressure systems and cryogenics
$90000 - $145000 a year
Salary range for this full-time position equity benefits.The actual salary will depend on level location qualifications and experience. The range displayed on each job posting reflects new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Benefits include:
