We are looking to add aAssembly Technician I to join our this role you will support the assembly integration inspection and testing of products and assemblies using established manufacturing procedures and work instructions. This role contributes to manufacturing operations by producing quality hardware supporting production activities and learning manufacturing processes to ensure products satisfy engineering manufacturing and quality requirements.

Working cross-functionally with manufacturing engineering quality production control and supply chain teams this role supports manufacturing activities throughout the production lifecycle.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assemble mechanical and electrical components subassemblies and products using approved work instructions drawings and manufacturing procedures.
  • Operate hand tools power tools production equipment and test equipment supporting manufacturing activities.
  • Perform routine production tasks while maintaining established quality and productivity standards.
  • Perform basic visual and dimensional inspections using measuring equipment and inspection tools.
  • Verify completed assemblies meet engineering drawings specifications and quality requirements.
  • Record production inspection and traceability information in manufacturing documentation.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing engineering quality production control and supply chain teams supporting production activities.
  • Support material handling workstation organization equipment preparation and inventory accuracy.
  • Communicate production status quality concerns and equipment issues to supervisors and team members.
  • Follow manufacturing procedures safety requirements quality standards and company policies.
  • Maintain clean organized and safe work areas while supporting 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Recommend improvements that enhance safety quality productivity and manufacturing efficiency.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Associate degree technical certification formal occupational training military training or equivalent hands-on experience in manufacturing technology industrial technology electronics technology mechanical technology or a related technical field preferred. Less than 1 year of related experience in manufacturing production assembly mechanical assembly electronics assembly or related production operations.
  • Foundational knowledge of manufacturing processes mechanical assembly electrical assembly and engineering drawings.
  • Basic understanding of quality standards inspection techniques and safe manufacturing practices.
  • Familiarity with hand tools power tools measuring equipment and manufacturing documentation.
  • Basic knowledge of manufacturing documentation material handling and production procedures.
  • Applies attention to detail and sound judgment while supporting manufacturing operations.
  • Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook Word Excel and Teams.
  • Manufacturing equipment test equipment and production systems used to support assembly and manufacturing operations.
  • Manufacturing execution systems (MES) ERP systems and electronic work instruction applications e.g. Epicor SAP Solumina or equivalent applications
