ASSEMBLY OPERATOR III

Volt is immediately hiring for an Assembly Operator III at Arden NC 28704

As an Assembly Operator III you will:

• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components (as needed).
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Operate fiber router & complete over-molding process (as needed).
• Support prototype product builds test product builds pre-release NPI builds(as needed).
• Measure components using calipers gages or other measuring devices.
• Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.
• Troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• Understand cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.

This is Full-Time Contract Opportunity.

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year assembly manufacturing experience requiredwith knowledge and understanding of manufacturing principles such as Safety Quality Delivery Inventory and Productivity.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fiber optic assembly manufacturing environment preferred.
• The ability to distinguish between color-coded fiberopticcables is an essential function of this position to ensure accurate assembly installation and quality standards.
• SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.

Schedule: 1^st shift Monday - Friday

Location: Arden NC 28704

Payrate Range in Between - $20 - $22/hour.

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors including the candidates education work experience work location specific job duties certifications etc.
