Job Summary

SUMMARY

Assembles generator enclosures tanks and their subassemblies following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Reads and understands blueprints and bill of material.

Assembles functional parts of enclosures and tanks using hand tools power tools (cordless drills impact gun etc.) levels plumb bobs and straight edges.

Uses forklifts aerial lifts cranes ladders and other lifting apparatus to aide in the assembly process.

Assists in the assembly and installation of electrical and electronic components (electrical enclosures transformers etc.; all electrical connections are done by qualified personnel) pipe systems and plumbing machinery and equipment and installation of insulation materials as required.

Assembles both small and large sub-assemblies according to prints or drawings.

Reads bill of material to package parts/kits to customer requirements.

Studies blueprints sketches drawings manuals specifications or sample parts to determine assembly sequence and setup requirements

Follows work instructions from general description. Works with other team members to troubleshoot mechanical/fit issues in a satisfactory manner.

Keeps work area clean and organized.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

High School Diploma or GED or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and memos as well as operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
