Assembler II

DPP is seeking an Assembler II for an opportunity with our client in the Aerospace and Defense Manufacturing industry.

Work Location: Onsite in Plymouth MN
Duration: 12 months
Terms: W2 Contract
Work Authorization: US Citizen

Position Summary:

• Perform a variety of production assembly operations on electronic and mechanical assemblies.
• In this role you will work from diagrams and technical drawings to build modules boards panels drawers frames and cables using precision hand/power tools jigs and saws.

• Production Assembly: Perform repetitive and non-repetitive assembly operations on complex electronic and electro-mechanical subassemblies.
• Drawing Navigation: Work directly from engineering diagrams technical drawings and initial layouts.
• Quality: Conduct continuity checks on in-process and completed work perform quality inspections.
• Re-Work: Disassemble modify re-work re-assemble and test assemblies under simulated conditions.

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Active IPC J-STD-001 Certification.
• 13 years of experience in hand soldering or assembling electronic components within a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions and communicate effectively within a team environment.

• 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience in hand soldering including inspection complex re-work/repair and utilizing various specialized soldering tools and equipment.
• Advanced ability to understand interpret and attention to detail to technical documents on electro-mechanical work.
• Proficiency with Manufacturing Execution System (MES) software and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Willingness to be trained to work on explosive assemblies.
