Job Overview:

Performs basic and repetitive routine electromechanical assembly tasks to support manufacturing operation.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the Quality Environmental and Health and Safety (QEH&S) policy and strategic direction of the organization.
  • Perform sub and final assemblies with minimal supervision
  • Works either on a production line or with small parts by inspecting and sorting
  • Perform to written job instructions or engineering drawing/work order
  • Utilize matrices for problem analysis
  • Work to achieve general knowledge of operation/function of assemblies as required to troubleshoot units
  • Learn operational or departmental equipment tooling or gauging as required
  • Identify process changes and methods improvements
  • Maintain current instrumentation calibration
  • Performs quality checks in accordance with established quality procedures and ISO requirements
  • Ensures production pace is maintained to meet customer demand
  • Learn and review daily production goals and metrics as a team
  • Will be cross trained to work at all assembly steps of line
  • Maintain cleanliness (5S) of work area daily
  • Participate in continuous improvement goals of the work site

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 1 years of experience in a manufacturing setting

Core Competencies:

  • Knowledge of and willingness to comply with all general work rules policies and procedures including safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Able to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
  • Ability to learn to operate all equipment associated with the job; including but not limited to power hand tools forklifts skyjacks cranes and measuring devices.
  • Ability to identify routine problem causation and correct routine problems and willingness to learn.
  • Broad working knowledge and experience with standard work instructions.
  • Team oriented must have the ability to work cohesively with others.
  • Must possess ability to work well in a manufacturing environment.
  • Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced multi-tasked environment.

Preferences:

  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting preferred.
  • Familiar with and ability to utilize all hand tools including wrenches sockets hammers tape measures crimpers cutters and steel banding.
  • Basic mechanical aptitude to use equipment and maintain general understanding of business process.
  • Familiar with and can utilize power tools.
  • Knowledgeable of and able to utilize computer systems.

Travel & Work Environment Requirements:

  • This position is based on-site and requires the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses safety shoes cut-resistant gloves and other safety equipment as required. Employees may also be required to work around machine guarding and stand for extended periods using anti-fatigue mats. The role may involve lifting and carrying materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
