Asbestos Investigator

H2M architects engineers a multidiscipline architectural engineering environmental consulting firmseeks afull time or part timeAsbestos anAsbestos Investigator you will be responsible for assisting with sampling testing and inspections for asbestos surveys reviewing and understanding site plans completing asbestos mold lead and indoor air quality inspection reports for insurance companies private industries and school districts. Travel is required for this position and you may be required to use your own vehicle for work related travel including travel to and from job Responsibilities:Perform asbestos mold and lead surveys on residential and commercial project monitoring and air sampling including compliance with on-site field protocols such as chain of custody forms and daily and reviewing project related management of asbestos and lead abatement projects including scheduling field staff client management dealing with contractors and ensuring compliance with state and city agencies a and Qualifications:Must have Inspector Certificate issued by NYSDOL and min 5 years experience (Two years experience in building survey/hazard assessment for ACM & three years of other documented building survey related experience (qualified to take the Asbestos Investigator exam); OR College degree and relevant asbestos work than 1year of experience in the environmental consulting field specifically industrial NYC DEP Asbestos NYSDOL certifications for the following:Asbestos Project Monitoring/Air Sampling Technician Project Designer Assessor a EPA lead inspector/risk assessor certification a technical skills including field expertise and knowledge of architectural oral and written communication ability to work independently with minimal relationship in Microsoft RequirementsAs part of your role you may be required to work in environments where the use of a respirator is such cases H2M will provide appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure compliance with all applicable safety and health regulations. Therefore you will be required to participate in any necessary respirator fit testing training and medical evaluations in accordance with OSHA standards and company is required for this position and you may be required to use your own vehicle for work related travel including travel to and from job sitesif an H2M vehicle is not available. Due to the nature of the position it is expected that you are able to work a flexible schedule which may include nights weekendsand holidays as needed. The salary range for this role is $60000 to $80000 annually.
