As a Armed Security Officer - Armed Patrol in San Jose CA you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic public transportation location. You will conduct visible patrols operate a vehicle as needed respond to security-related concerns and help to deter incidents while providing exceptional customer service and clear communication. Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to transit agency personnel passengers contractors and visitors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures policies and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit facilities administrative areas parking locations platforms perimeter areas and other assigned government transportation locations.
• Respond to incidents disturbances alarms and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following applicable post orders and armed response protocols.
• Monitor access points and observe activity throughout assigned areas reporting suspicious activity hazards and security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports regarding patrols incidents observations and interactions and coordinate with law enforcement and emergency responders when directed.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid drivers license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Possess at least one year of armed security-related law enforcement or military experience.
• Possess a valid armed guard card or license.
• Possess a valid .40 caliber endorsement.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
