As a Security Officer Armed Deterrence Patrol in Salisbury NC you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer at a government corrections location you will conduct routine patrols maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents and respond professionally to evolving situations. You will support a controlled environment through clear communication attentive observation and exceptional customer service. Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour

Job Schedule:

What Youll Do:

• Provide customer service to personnel visitors and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures site-specific policies access-control requirements and emergency response activities at a government corrections location.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas including perimeters access points grounds and parking areas while observing and reporting unusual conditions or activities.
• Respond to incidents alarms disturbances and critical situations in a calm professional problem-solving manner following established post orders and applicable procedures.
• Monitor and control access to restricted areas verify credentials as required and maintain awareness of authorized movement throughout the assigned location.
• Prepare clear and accurate reports activity logs and incident documentation and communicate relevant information to appropriate personnel and emergency responders.

Minimum Requirements:

• An armed guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal state and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid drivers license will be required for driving positions only.
