Job Summary
This is a key leadership role within Wood Products with responsibility for the people profit and performance of Weyerhaeusers growing business in Arizona Southwest Las Vegas and New Mexico from the Phoenix Distribution Center. The Area General Manager will maintain an onsite presence at the Distribution Center with travel up to 35% including both day travel and overnight travel. The AGM is accountable for the successful implementation of all internal Weyerhaeuser programs. The AGM also owns the development and execution of a 5-year business plan (the Roadmap).
Accountabilities
- Provides leadership and general management of the inside and outside area sales and operations teams while working closely with the site operations manager and finance partner.
- Partners with logistics fulfillment production planning scheduling and asset management to drive profitability in market.
- Motivates and energizes sales and operations teams. Drives performance growth and development of area team and team members by ensuring commitment to goals and standards for both are met.
- Maintains and grows key relationships with strategic Customers; develops and grows superior and sustainable relationships with both internal and external vendors.
- Responsible for all aspects of the facility such as safety sales logistics community volunteer activity etc.

What We Offer... Compensation: This role is eligible for our annual merit-increase program and we are targeting a salary range of $144000 - $217000 based on your level of skills qualifications and experience. You will also be eligible for our Annual Incentive Program which offers a cash bonus targeting 25% of base pay. Potential plan funding may range from zero to two times that target. This position is eligible to be nominated for an annual long term incentive grant as well. The grant guideline for this position is $32k with a range of zero to 150% of the guideline amount. The value of long term incentive grants is typically delivered in restricted stock units.
