Job Summary

This position encourages creativity in problem solving to promote technical and design excellence while ensuring building code and regulatory compliance. The Lead Architect will need the ability to coordinate with internal and external parties manage multiple complex tasks establish priorities and direct the work of others. Were looking for those that ideally have experience within regulated or complex commercial and industrial construction

Core Responsibilities

  • Work independently on projects with ability to execute all phases of design including programming planning concept development detailed design and construction administration
  • Develop and generate studies presentations and reports and present to internal or external audiences.
  • Generate complex code analyses life safety and egress plans floor plans sections elevations details schedules and specifications for large projects of advanced complexity with no oversight
  • Lead support for construction activities such as ensuring coordinated and constructible designs RFI responses submittal reviews progress reports and assist PMs as needed for resource budget and scope definition
  • Conduct quality checking of documents for complex projects (e.g. technical verification of design calculations documentation design approaches) and drive overall project quality.
  • Identify and resolve complex code construction or design related challenges contribute during drawing reviews quality checks and overall act as Architect of Record for project assignments

**Please note - this role will be located onsite in Atlanta GA with a hybrid schedule to work 3 days-in office and 2 days remote. Mentoring teammates is a key part to this role** 


Qualifications :

Must Have Qualifications

  • Accredited Professional Degree in Architecture ( and/or ) or Canadian / International equivalent
  • Architectural license in good standing within home state plus NCARB certification or ability to obtain
  • AEC (Architectural Engineering or Construction) firm experience and history of successful cross-discipline project coordination and execution on a variety of project types
  • Ability to develop (or guide development of) complete set of Construction Documents and Specifications for complex projects. 
  • 10 years of professional experience; minimum 3 years focused on strategic mater or space planning or programming

Nice to Have Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and application of International Building Codes OSHA Regulations and ADA Standards
  • Experience in one or more of CRBs core markets including R&D labs biotechnology pharmaceutical food & nutrition and/or consumer products
  • LEED Accreditation WELL Certification or similar sustainability credentials
