Architect

Burrow Global is a full-service Architectural Design & Construction firm offering a range of engineering and construction management services.

We currently are looking for an experienced Architect to join our integrated design-build team in our Houston Texas office.

Qualifications

• Candidate will have strong collaboration skills strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with clients and associates.
• Candidate will have a minimum of eight years experience in industrial facility architecture OR a related field; such as labs data centers warehouses office buildings manufacturing and/or process buildings.
• Candidate should be registered in the State of Texas or have the capability of reciprocity through NCARB.
• Must have 3-5 years experience as an Architectural Project Manager or equivalent position as an effective leader for architectural interns and technicians.
• Must have examples of built projects showing personal technical knowledge and expertise in design and production of a detailed set of Construction Documents.
• Demonstrated proficiency in space programming contract documents detailing specifications team production management strong design and graphic skills and contract administration.
• Proficiency with Revit AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required. Rendering software experience is a plus.
• Professional experience dealing with municipal or state agencies is preferred.
• Must possess full working knowledge and understanding of the building codes such as but not limited to the IBC IECC and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS).
• LEED accreditation a plus but not required.
• Excellent time management and organization skills. Must balance and manage several concurrent projects in various stages.

Responsibilities

• Candidate will orchestrate and coordinate the work of a multi-disciplined team throughout the design development and contract document phases of projects attend client and internal meetings and participate in reviews with various governing agencies for code compliance.
• Candidate will assist the Construction Project Manager in managing the project team clients and sub-consultants.
• Candidate will be responsible for completing design documents in close coordination with the construction department so we stay within the clients and the companys budgets.
• Assignments will include producing architectural contract documents reviewing architectural documents for areas of conflict with all disciplines writing/editing architectural specifications coordinating and assisting affected disciplines with addendum RFIs and change orders and incorporating agreed upon changes into the project documents.
• Candidates will participate in Construction Administration by reviewing shop drawings and submittals responding to RFIs solving construction issues and performing site visits to assess general conformance with the design concept.
• Travel for project related activities relative to existing building assessments/investigations client meetings or construction jobsite observations will be required.
