We are seeking an experienced Applications Engineer with strong mechanical engineering and 3D CAD skills ideally with experience in automotive marine or other specialist engineering environments.
Working within a dynamic Design Office you will project manage customised vehicle projects from initial customer brief through to final delivery. Responsibilities
- Project manage customer-specific modifications integration studies and customised production vehicle projects from brief through to delivery.
- Develop and manage technical assembly and manufacturing drawings BOMs and project budgets using advanced 3D CAD.
- Provide technical support to Production and Sales liaise with component suppliers and work with regulatory bodies on design certification.
- Support project builds testing product improvements and on-water testing providing hands-on engineering problem solving throughout the development process.
Requirements
- 5 years experience as an Applications Engineer or similar engineering role ideally supported by a degree-level engineering qualification.
- Advanced 3D CAD experience preferably NX with strong knowledge of component and assembly modelling and production of technical drawings.
- Strong mechanical engineering knowledge with experience of fabricated steel aluminium and plastic components and solving complex engineering challenges.
- Experience with mechanical systems; knowledge of GRP/CFRP fluid circuits electrical systems or the marine industry would be advantageous.
