Position Summary

The Application Engineer provides quote preparation application of product selection price and availability. They also provide technical assistance/support and value selection of products for application taking into consideration price and availability consulting with engineering when required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Prepares verbal and written quotations for domestic and international customers and representatives via telephone fax and email.
Assists customer inquiries on order status ship methods tracking numbers freight charges pricing and availability.
Analyses business opportunities facilitate requests for project quotations and ensures that processes are is correctly executed according to customer request.
Be a technical resource and have the organizational agility to find answers and solve problems.
Has a desire and ambition to grow into a larger role of responsibility.
To perform this job successfully an individual should have intermediate data entry skills and knowledge of Word and Excel software.
Able to solve routine and complex problems using information sources provided or by conceptual and innovative thinking with or without supervision
All other duties as assigned.
CANDIDATE PROFILE

Knowledge Skills & Abilities

Finalizes negotiation with customers. Knowledge of T&C are necessary
Recommends product or service enhancements to improve customers satisfaction and sales potential.
Has 2-4 years technical customer service experience in manufacturing support.
Has a sound in-depth understanding of concepts and principles in customer service.
Acts as Customers advocate within the organization and is accountable for Customer Satisfaction.
Document sales and marketing activities along with tracking of opportunities.
Familiar with standard manufacturing concepts practices and procedures.
Self-starter organized thorough and meticulous able to work under pressure.
Experience in a technical environment
Able to plan work and commit to meeting deadlines.
Dedicated to high degree of accuracy.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Access software.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Bachelors degree preferably in Mechanical Engineering
5 years relevant experience. Valve regulator fluid mechanics/control related coursework/education will be additional qualifications.
