Application Support Engineer

Our client a major bank in New York City is looking for Application Support Engineer Consultant

3-6 months initial contract with possibility for extensions and option to hire.
5 days on-site in NYC Office

** Must be authorized to work for ANY employer in US - NO H1 Visa support for this role

Rate: $65-70/h on W2 possible C2C as well.

Application Support Engineer

• Monitor and support trading and middle-office applications.
• Investigate and resolve production incidents and user issues.
• Analyze data logs and reports to identify problems and trends.
• Perform user onboarding access reviews and operational controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal technology teams to resolve issues.
• Support system upgrades testing and new business initiatives.
• Create and maintain operational procedures and documentation.
• Participate in after-hours support rotations as experience grows.

• Degree in Finance Business Analytics Computer Science Information Systems or related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Interest in financial markets and technology.
• Ability to learn SQL scripting and production support tools.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Experience with databases reporting or data analysis.
• Exposure to financial services trading or investment operations.
• Familiarity with Python SQL PowerShell or Linux.
