As an Application Scientist you will be part of our marketing and sales team in Boston. With the opportunity to apply your technical expertise to solve new technical challenges you will be making a significant contribution to the success of our fast-growing company. - Provide expert application support to customers across the US working with ZIs T&M instruments (lock-in amplifiers impedance analyzers AWGs)
- Conduct onsite system integration demos and training at customer laboratories
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships to support sales growth and customer retention
- Represent Zurich Instruments at trade shows conferences and academic events across the US
- Collaborate with the global sales and product teams to relay customer feedback and application insights
- Produce technical content including application notes presentations product documentation and demo videos
- Actively develop your commercial skills in a role that blends deep technical work with customer-facing impact
- PhD or Masters in Physics Electrical Engineering or a related experimental science with hands-on lab experience
- Solid practical experience with dynamic signal measurement familiarity with lock-in detection impedance spectroscopy or waveform generation is a strong plus
- Comfortable with scientific programming ideally Python for instrument control and data analysis
- Strong communicator who can explain complex technical concepts clearly to both academic and industrial audiences
- Customer-oriented mindset with a genuine interest in building relationships and developing commercial skills
- Self-driven proactive and comfortable working independently across a large territory
