Job Summary

Collaborate cross-functionally with customers suppliers manufacturing and internal teams to develop and support electric motor solutions from concept through production. Provide technical expertise to deliver scalable cost-effective products while balancing performance quality schedule and customer requirements.

The Application Engineer II is an intermediate-level engineering professional responsible for independently managing routine to moderately complex projects and technical assignments. This role applies engineering principles and sound judgment to solve technical challenges support new product development and serve as a key technical resource for customers and internal stakeholders.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Product Development & Engineering

  • Develop product specifications based on customer and market requirements.
  • Design and support electric motors including electrical and mechanical components.
  • Perform engineering analysis testing validation and troubleshooting activities.
  • Create and maintain BOMs drawings specifications and technical documentation.
  • Interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve product performance and reliability.
  • Independently resolve routine and moderately complex technical issues.

Project & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Manage assigned engineering projects with limited supervision.
  • Coordinate activities across engineering manufacturing quality supply chain and customer teams.
  • Develop project schedules test plans and resource requirements.
  • Support new product launches and transfer designs into production.
  • Provide technical guidance and share knowledge with less experienced team members.

Customer & Business Support

  • Prepare technical proposals quotations and product recommendations.
  • Serve as a technical resource for customers sales and internal teams.
  • Support product selection application reviews and troubleshooting efforts.
  • Build strong customer relationships through proactive technical support.

Continuous Improvement & Product Support

  • Lead and support cost reduction quality improvement and product enhancement initiatives.
  • Partner with Quality and Manufacturing teams to resolve product and process issues.
  • Support software testing product validation and new platform development.
  • Recommend process and product improvements based on data and operational feedback.

Lab & Technical Work

  • Operate laboratory equipment to test and evaluate electric motor performance.
  • Read and interpret electrical diagrams schematics and technical drawings.
  • Safely use hand tools power tools and testing equipment as required.



Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 3-5 years of engineering experience preferably within electric motors HVACR or manufacturing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects and technical assignments independently.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong technical analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise engineering judgment with minimal supervision.
  • Effective project management organization and prioritization skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to support customers and explain technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related engineering tools.

Additional Requirements

  • Ability to travel on a limited quarterly basis.
