Salado Isolation Mining Contractors LLC (SIMCO) managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as an Application Developer/System Analystand join our team located in Carlsbad New Mexico.
Responsibilities
SIMCO is currently seeking an Application Developer/System Analysist to provide support to the Department of Energys Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) contract located in Carlsbad New Mexico. This role will be on the Application Development team and will be working closely with project stakeholders Business Analysts Quality Assurance and other contractors & vendors to support development of custom software solutions and implementation and management of Custom Off the Shelf (COTS) solutions.
Work with business analysts and stakeholders to gather application requirements
Install deploy update and support new and existing software systems
Perform vulnerability and patch management for responsible software applications
Maintain relevant documentation and Enterprise Architecture software inventory documentation
Perform software quality assurance processes and procedures
Design and Develop software to meet project requirements as assigned
Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree with three (3) years of experience or
Associates degree with seven (7) years of experience or
High School Diploma or Equivalency with eleven (11) years of experience is required.
Familiarity with these technologies:
Windows 11 & Windows Server
SQL and Microsoft SQL Server
Microsoft Internet Information Services (IIS)
Microsoft development technology stack
C# Blazor JavaScript Typescript CSS
Strong problem-solving skills
Strong written and oral communication skills
Well organized a good communicator able to effectively prioritize tasks and manage your projects from concept to production
Motivated independent and self-sufficient
Able to receive an assigned task and see it through to completion with minimal supervision
Must be 18 years of age.
Must be authorized to work and remain in the United States without SIMCO visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the WIPP Site (even if teleworking must still be able to comply with security requirements to obtain a badge).
Non-U.S. citizens from countries identified by the Department of Energy as posing heightened security concernsincluding sensitive countries state sponsors of terrorism countries of risk and other designated countries are subject to additional security requirements that limit site access.

SharePoint (both on-premise and cloud)
Power BI
ORACLE Database environment
Experience with Azure DevOps; build pipelines and project management
Implementation of software in an enterprise environment
Agile software development QA and testing best practices
